Eric has always been passionate about using technology to solve problems. As a Corporate Recruiter, he built tools like JavaScript Bookmarklets and batch programs to automate repetitive tasks. When OpenAI released ChatGPT in November 2022, Eric was immediately intrigued and signed up. He explored its capabilities but quickly realized its true potential after upgrading to ChatGPT Plus in 2024. During this time, Eric was developing AI assistants for recruiting or job searching, such as creating personalized LinkedIn messages and customized cover letters, and he began to see how broadly AI for small business could transform workflows.
However, as Eric began speaking with small business owners, he noticed a recurring problem: most had little understanding of AI’s capabilities or how to use it effectively. Many were stuck using basic prompts and struggling with corny or unhelpful results. It became clear that small businesses, often the last to adopt new technology, were missing out on AI for small business to save time and increase efficiency. Around the same time, Amy was exploring AI in her role as an Elementary School Librarian. When Eric and Amy shared their vision for The AI Whisperers, they decided to start The AI Whisperers. Eric works full-time in the business, while Amy is part-time.
